Kerry ETB’s Community Education programme aims to provide a locally based education programme that is responsive to the local community’s needs.  A programme that is accessible, inclusive and culturally appropriate is developed in consultation with the local community.  The Community Education Programme is learning that takes place in the community, embraces the principals of empowerment, consideration, collective consciousness, social justice and equality of access.

Admission Policy

The Community Education Programme, under Kerry ETB, provides part time learning courses to community groups in response to local needs.

Community Education is education and learning that promotes equality, empowerment, peer learning and active citizenship.  Community Education is designed in consultation with the group and is flexible in both its design and implementation.  Community Education recognises the community and voluntary sector as an important partner in Education Provision.
